World Cup Predictions

Predict World Cup match outcomes and bet your server points against everyone else. It's a pari-mutuel game: all the points staked on a match go into one pool, and when the match ends the people who picked the winning outcome split that pool between them — proportional to how much they staked. Back the unpopular-but-correct result and you win big; pile onto the obvious favourite and you win a little.

There's no real money and no tokens involved — just your server's engagement points and bragging rights on the leaderboard.

Before you start

• Your server's points system must be enabled (Engagement Setup & Shop). The game uses the same points members already earn. See Engagement Setup and Shop.
• Bets are placed with points the member already has. The minimum bet is 10 points, the maximum is 1000.
• Matches and results update automatically — there's nothing for admins to schedule once the bot is running.
• Admins: run /worldcup setup and choose a channel so the bot can post match results and pre-kickoff reminders there. Without it, the game still works but stays silent.

How betting works

1. A member picks a match and an outcome: Home win, Draw, or Away win.
2. Their stake is taken from their points balance immediately.
3. Betting closes the moment the match kicks off.
4. When the match finishes, the bot reads the final result and pays out:
   • Everyone who picked the correct outcome splits the entire pool, in proportion to their stake.
   • If nobody picked the winning outcome (or a match is cancelled or postponed), everyone is refunded their stake.

Each member can place one bet per match.

Discord

Command	What it does
/worldcup matches	Upcoming matches with team flags and live pools. Tap a team button to bet — enter your stake in the popup.
/worldcup bet	Place a bet by command instead of buttons: pick the match (autocomplete), your pick (team names listed once you choose a match), and the amount.
/worldcup mybets	See your bets, the fixture/score, and how they settled.
/worldcup live	Matches being played right now, with current scores.
/worldcup results	Recent finished matches with final scores and the winning outcome.
/worldcup setup	Admin only. Set the channel for results and pre-kickoff reminders (optionally the reminder lead time).
/worldcup leaderboard	The top predictors in your server, ranked by net points won.

Telegram

The same game is available in any Telegram group connected to your TekTools server. To bet, your Telegram account must be linked to your Discord account at tektools.app/account (points live on your Discord profile).

/worldcup bet <number> <home|draw|away> <amount>	Bet on a match by its list number, e.g. /worldcup bet 1 home 50.

Leaderboard

The leaderboard is per server and ranks members by the net points they've won from World Cup betting (winnings minus everything they've staked), with the number of correct picks shown alongside.
