Community Activity Report
The Community Activity Report gives community managers a weekly, data-driven view of how active their Discord server really is — who is talking, where, when, and with which commands. It powers the activity dashboard on the TekTools website.
Activity reports are currently available for enrolled communities only (Discord servers, with Telegram planned). If you'd like your community enrolled, reach out to the TekTools team.
What it shows
Each weekly report covers a full Monday → Sunday week (UTC) and includes:
- Totals with week-over-week trends — total messages, commands used, and unique active members, each compared against the previous week.
- Top 10 most active members — who sent the most messages (bots excluded).
- Top 10 commands — the most-used bot commands and how often they ran.
- Top 5 bots — the most talkative bots in your server.
- Top 10 channels — where the conversation actually happens.
- Hourly activity graph — message volume for every hour of the week, so you can see exactly when your community is most active and plan announcements, events, and AMAs for peak hours.
- Daily active members — how many unique members chatted each day of the week, showing engagement breadth rather than just volume.
- Members vs. bots split — how much of your activity is real conversation versus bot output.
Privacy
Activity reports are built from message metadata only (who posted, where, and when). TekTools never stores the content of your community's messages for this feature.
How it works
- Reports cover a full Monday → Sunday week (UTC) and refresh automatically every day, so the current week fills in day by day instead of only appearing once it ends. While a week is still in progress, its week-over-week comparison is hidden until the week completes.
- Each Monday's refresh finalizes the week that just ended.
- Reports are kept week after week, so the dashboard can show trends over time.
- Viewing a community's reports requires admin access to that Discord server — the same access rules as the rest of the TekTools dashboard.
